Imagine reducing pollution by developing and using living systems that thrive on wastes, developing more nutritious crops through genetic engineering, isolating a new drug from a plant, or building an aquacultural farm on which you culture marine crops. These are a few of the many areas of research that are explored in the Department of Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering.
