Cooperative Extension
CTAHR’s statewide Extension provides practical, research-based information and education for the benefit of local communities across Hawai‘i. An essential part of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience, Extension has positively impacted the economy, families, food systems, and environment of Hawai‘i for 95 years. In 2022, Extension had more than 500,000 direct and indirect contacts with the public, resulting in the adoption of new practices and changed behaviors by Hawaiʻi residents because of Extension’s educational programming.
