The different groundcovers are starting to fill in 6 months after planting. St. Augustine and Carpet grass were planted from vegetative pieces, while the Perennial Peanut was seeded at 40 lbs./acre. The time for establishment would be reduced greatly if planted in the spring and allowed to grow during the warmer summer months. |

Holes were augured where papayas are to be planted and amended with fertilizer. Plastic was used to reduce soil disturbance.
