St. Augustine Grass

Stentophrum secundatum

Establishment of the St. Augustine groundcover was the best of the three in terms of speed and uniformity.

Establishment is important for good weed and erosion control and also in terms of cost.  The longer it takes to obtain proper establishment the higher the cost.
Both the Carpet (top) and St. Augustine (below) show good coverage for erosion control, but there is a definite visual difference in weed control between the two covers with the carpet having a higher infestation of weeds.
