The pictures shown below are approximately 7 weeks after transplanting.  Take notice that there is no real difference in size due to competition that may come from the ground covers.  This can be due to direct access to moisture and fertilizer to the transplants from the above ground drip system and also by keeping the crop rows free from encroachment.
