CTAHR is partnering with the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation (HFBF) and the Hawaii Department of Agriculture (HDOA) in a statewide effort to help increase demand for, consumption of, and familiarity with locally grown commodities. This joint effort, "Buy Fresh, Buy Local - Island Fresh," will familiarize Hawai‘i residents with the advantages of purchasing locally grown products.

FREE Internet Listing for your Agricultural Products: Help chefs and retailers quickly locate your locally grown products by listing them on the Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture’s database. You may list your company and products, or update a current listing by filling out the information form and mailing or faxing it to the Hawaii Department of Agriculture at 1428 S. LOCALLY GROWN CAMPAIGNS

FoodRoutes.org is a website devoted to assisting people to purchase locally grown produce. Their website offers a toolkit for food and farming advocacy work and several excellent downloadable promotional sheets such as Buy Locally Grown, It's Thousands of Miles Fresher

Be a Local Hero: Buy Locally Grown by CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture) is a great website showing how to conduct a media campaign for purchasing locally grown produce.

Local Harvest supports sustainable and organic farmers by providing a website with a clickable map for consumers to link up with local food producers.


HAWAI'I FARMERS MARKETS

Hawaii's Farmers Markets, a list of current farmers markets by the Hawaii Dept. of Agriculture. Be sure to ask for locally grown products!

The Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation's Kapiolani Community College (KCC) Farmer's Market Website features shopping tips and information about upcoming gourmet breakfasts, cooking demonstrations, and vendor highlights. Additional markets are held in Kailua and Mililani.
