Lei Project

What started out to be a culture learning experience for anticipated visitors, ended in a great service-learning project for Oahu 4-H’ers, club leaders and parents! Over 50 people turned out on a sunny Sunday afternoon to sew flowers and weave ti leaves. The lei were then shared with special guests and volunteers honored at the Governor’s Volunteer conference banquet.

A few lei project reflections:

“Like the colors of the rainbow
we have a diverse group of people
together for one cause”

“When you help someone, it makes you feel good”

“We can make the fun and together
we can make a difference”

Let’s continue to share ALOHA!
